Burglars smash restaurant wall in attempt to steal cash

November 5, 2012 |  7:48 am

A burglar smashed through a Sacramento restaurant wall Monday morning in an attempt to get into a safe, authorities said.

The break-in happened at Asian Pearl on Stockton Boulevard around 1 a.m., Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies told Fox40 Sacramento.

They believe the burglar knew exactly where the safe was in the restaurant because the hole was located directly behind the safe. The burglar was ultimately unable to successfully steal any cash.

Deputies caught the accomplice who waited for the burglar in a car but have been unable to find the man who smashed the wall. The restaurant has been previously broken into.
