Second bomb threat in two weeks made against L.A.-London flight

An anonymous caller phoned in a bomb threat on a United Airlines flight scheduled to leave from LAX to London on Saturday evening, according to multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.

Flight 934, bound for Heathrow Airport, was moved to a secure part of LAX and was examined, according to the sources, who were not authorized to discuss the case and didn't want to be identified.  The sources said the call came from a female caller using a Las Vegas payphone.

No device was found on the plane, the sources said. United Airlines reported a brief delay but said that the flight was scheduled to depart 15 minutes late, at 8.50 p.m.

Two weeks ago, an anonymous caller -- reportedly a man using a payphone in New York -- warned of a bomb on the same United flight, prompting a bomb squad to search the airplane. No bomb was found.
