One transition lane opened after big rigs crash on 210 in Pasadena
One transition lane of the westbound 210 Freeway at the 134 Freeway split was reopened Friday morning after being completely shut down in Pasadena for hours after a big-rig crash, California Highway Patrol said.
Multiple accidents involving at least three big rigs left the connection road where westbound traffic shifts northward closed except for that one lane, and it was expected to remain that way until at least 9 a.m., CHP officials said.
The accidents, which the CHP does not believe to be weather-related, was called in around 2:30 a.m. and left the freeway covered in diesel fuel.
At least two of the big-rigs jackknifed, CHP officials said, but there were no reported injuries.
