Three people were shot and killed Tuesday in a high-rise senior citizen complex in Torrance in what police said was a double murder and suicide, according to City News Service.

The shooting occurred shortly after noon at Golden West Tower in the 3500 block of Maricopa Street, Sgt. Robert Watt of the Torrance Police Department told CNS.

An “elderly man” fatally shot a man and a woman, then killed himself, Watt said. Their names were not immediately available; neither was the motive.
