Body of woman found in car trunk at Azusa tow yard

Azusa homicides

The body of a woman was found in the trunk of a car that had been towed to a tow yard in Azusa, authorities said Tuesday night.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene in the 1000 block of West Gladstone Street, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. The discovery was made about 5:15 p.m.

Department homicide investigators were assisting Azusa police. No other details were immediately available. 

Since January 2007, at least eight homicides have been reported in Azusa, according to The Times' Homicide Report database.
