Water main break near 101 Freeway at Cahuenga Pass repaired

Water main break floods 101 freewayA ruptured water main that sent water gushing onto the 101 Freeway in the Cahuenga Pass early Thursday has been repaired, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The rupture was discovered about 2:30 a.m. and eventually covered the northbound lanes of the freeway with six inches of water, the CHP said.

Traffic is now flowing freely, the agency said.
