Actor Edward Furlong arrested at LAX on domestic violence charge

Actor Edward Furlong, who starred in “Terminator 2,” was arrested early Tuesday at Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of domestic violence, according to airport police.

Furlong, 35, was taken into custody on the arrivals level of Terminal 2 around 12:45 a.m., after Los Angeles Airport Police officers received a call reporting a "possible domestic violence investigation," Sgt. Belinda Nettles said in a statement.

The actor was booked on suspicion of domestic violence and taken to the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Station jail facility, where he was being held on $50,000 bail, according to sheriff's department records.

The LAX incident was not the first arrest for Furlong, best known for his roles in "Terminator 2" and "American History X." In 2007, the actor was charged with public intoxication after being arrested at a Kentucky grocery store. Last year, Furlong was arrested on suspicion of violating a restraining order requiring him to stay away from his estranged wife.
