Sewage spill closes section of Seal Beach to water sports
A section of Seal Beach near the San Gabriel River was closed Tuesday to swimming, surfing and diving because of a sewage spill, Orange County health officials reported.
The closed area extends 500 feet south from the San Gabriel River.
The area will remain off-limits to water sports until further testing shows that bacterial levels have returned to acceptable standards, according to the health agency.
