LAPD officer fires at man near busy Sherman Oaks Trader Joe's
An officer-involved shooting took place Tuesday evening outside a busy Trader Joe's in Sherman Oaks after a man in a van appeared to try to run over two patrol officers, police said.
No officers were reported injured in the incident, which began about 6:30 p.m, the Los Angeles Police Department said. Police described the man as a shoplifting suspect.
The man took off and was being sought by police. It was unclear whether he was wounded.
