Crime alerts for Green Meadows and 17 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 18 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of Los Angeles Police Department data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Nine neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Green Meadows (A) was the most unusual, recording 19 reports compared with a weekly average of 9.5 over the last three months.

Encino (J) topped the list of nine neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 32 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 16.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Sept. 22–Sept. 28, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
