Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Pinnacles

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Tuesday afternoon four miles from Pinnacles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 5:19 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.9 of a mile.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 14 miles from Soledad, 16 miles from Gonzales, 22 miles from Hollister and 65 miles from San Jose City Hall.

In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
