Police rush to Ashton Kutcher home after call of armed intruder

Los Angeles police rushed to a Hollywood Hills home owned by actor Ashton Kutcher on Wednesday after receiving a report of a possible home invasion by someone with a gun.

Authorities responded to the 3000 block of Arrowhead Drive about 11 a.m. after a woman called police and said she was hiding in a closet because there was a man with a gun inside the home, sources said.

Property records indicated the home was owned by Kutcher.

Los Angeles Police Officer Tenesha Dobine said three people were detained at the property, but it was unclear if they were suspects or workers.

Police were investigating whether the report might be a hoax.

In August, police were called to actress Miley Cyrus' Studio City home after a caller reported several people were being held hostage after a shooting. The call was quickly deemed a hoax.
