Man held in stabbings of two people in Rowland Heights

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies have arrested a man who is accused of stabbing a man and a woman Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Sgt. Ray Lascano said the stabbing was reported about 3:30 p.m. in the 18000 block of Los Palacios Drive in Rowland Heights.

The two victims were taken to a hospital, Lascano said, but he said he did not yet have information on their conditions.

The man who was arrested, described only as an adult male, refused to come out of the home for more than 20 minutes, but eventually surrendered without incident, Lascano said.

Lascano said he didn’t know what the motive was for the attack or what relationship the suspect has with the victims.
