Palmdale woman killed in motorcycle accident

A Palmdale woman was killed when she drove her motorcycle through a red light and collided with another vehicle, authorities said Sunday. 

Gail Klascius, 54, drove through the intersection of Lake Elizabeth and Mesquite roads about 6:45 p.m Saturday and hit a Mercedes-Benz, according to the California Highway Patrol. Klascius hit her head on the pavement.

Klascius was later pronounced dead, while the Mercedes-Benz driver suffered a cut to her hand. The accident remains under investigation.
