Man held in shooting death of teenager in Palmdale

Authorities have made an arrest after an apparent feud between families led to the shooting death of a 17-year-old, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

Victor Flores, 36, was booked on suspicion of murder Tuesday at the Palmdale sheriff’s station in connection with the incident, which occurred Monday evening in the 38100 block of Boxthorn Street in Palmdale.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Deputies responding to a call about an assault with a deadly weapon found the male teenager with multiple gunshot wounds.  He was pronounced dead at a  hospital.

Flores is being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
