Motorcyclist killed in crash in La Cañada Flintridge

A 38-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday on the Angeles Crest Highway, authorities said.

Dan Cretu, 38, of Valley Village lost control of his 2012 Aprilia motorcycle about four miles north of the 210 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. Cretu was flung off his motorcycle and landed on a slope by the side of the road.

He was airlifted to Huntington Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
