Crime alerts for Hancock Park and 10 other L.A. neighborhoods

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 11 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times' Crime L.A. database.

Eight neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Hancock Park (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.6 over the last three months.

Historic South-Central (I) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 27 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 19.5 over the last three months.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Sept. 12–Sept. 18, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
