September 7, 2012 |  9:41 am

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 15 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. West Hills (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.3 over the last three months.

East Hollywood (H) topped the list of nine neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 38 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 24.5 over the last three months.

One neighborhood triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
