Garden Grove woman killed in vehicle crash

A motorist was killed Saturday when she ran a red light in Orange and collided with another vehicle, authorities said Sunday.

Xuan Tran, 30, of Garden Grove, was driving eastbound on Taft Avenue about 11 a.m. when she ran the light and struck a truck in the intersection, according to the Orange County Coroner's office. The truck then hit another vehicle, and Tran's car slammed into a wall.

Tran was declared dead at the scene, and two people in the truck were taken to a hospital and released. Two other people in the third vehicle suffered minor injuries.
