Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near The Geysers
A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening three miles from The Geysers, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:32 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 1.2 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 4 miles from Cobb, 7 miles from Anderson Springs , 27 miles from Santa Rosa and 74 miles from Sacramento.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
