Lucky the dog finds human leg bone in San Bernardino County

A dog in Newberry Springs brought home a human leg bone and a foot over the weekend, San Bernardino sheriff's deputies said.

A woman reported the find to authorities about 7 p.m. and detectives searched the area around the 49000 block of Silver Valley road and found more remains, although they could not determine the age or sex of the bones or cause of death.

“It didn’t seem like it was real. It was freaky, scary, and I was in shock,” the dog's owner told CBS News.

The owner also said the canine, named Lucky, often brings back items.

The coroner's office will conduct further tests in an effort to identify the remains.
