Compton shooting leaves one dead, two wounded

Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two others wounded in Compton early Monday morning.

The incident took place on the 400 block of West Magnolia Street, according to a sheriff’s report.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

This is the 14th homicide in Compton in 2012, according to The Times' Homicide Report.

No further details were available early Monday.
