3 brush fires reported off 118 Freeway

Three small fires broke out near the junction of the 5 and 118 freeways in the San Fernando Valley on Monday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Fire Department was responding to the blazes, with an assist from the California Highway Patrol, which was monitoring traffic on the freeways.

According to the CHP, all the fires started near the 118 Freeway near San Fernando Road.

The CHP warned that traffic on the 118 could be impacted.
