Woman killed by train in Del Mar

A woman was hit and killed by a train in Del Mar shortly after midnight, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said Thursday.

The woman stepped onto the railroad tracks near Coast Boulevard and 15th Street, authorities said. Her name and age were not released.
