Oceanside teacher accused of having sex with student

Kelly WatsonA 34-year-old teacher at Oceanside High School has been arrested on suspicion of having sex with a 17-year-old student.

Kelly Watson, a special education teacher, was arrested on suspicion of having sex with a boy who was in her class when she taught at New Haven School in Vista, authorities announced Friday.

Watson was arrested by San Diego police and jailed at the Las Colinas Detention Facility.

Watson was allegedly the minor's teacher for more than a year and then began a sexual relationship with him, officials said.
