Nerf hatchet and pot bong cause problems in San Diego
From the department of Sometimes Things Are Not What They Seem:
-- Responding to a call Saturday night about a shirtless man screaming incoherently and threatening people in the Hillcrest neighborhood, San Diego police found a man waving what appeared to be a hatchet. He was subdued with a Taser shot. The hatchet proved to be a Nerf toy.
-- When construction workers in downtown San Diego unearthed what appeared to be a pipe bomb on Monday morning, four buildings were ordered evacuated by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. The ends of the suspicious item were blown apart. It proved to be a marijuana bong with a bit of pot residue.
