Man dies after overnight shooting in Artesia

Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found shot in Artesia overnight.

Authorities were called to the 11900 block of Arkansas Street about 1:50 a.m., where they found the man, according to the Sheriff's Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information was immediately available about the victim or the circumstances surrounding his death, said Deputy Peter Gomez. No arrests have been made.
