LL Cool J thwarts burglary attempt in his Los Angeles home

 
Actor and rapper LL Cool J managed to hold his own early Wednesday morning when a suspected burglar broke into his Studio City home, police said.

The Los Angeles Police Department received a call about 1 a.m. alerting them to the incident at the star's home in the 12000 block of Blairwood Drive, officials said. LL Cool J was holding the suspect when officers arrived, officials said.

LL Cool J, born James Todd Smith, rose to fame with musical hits such as "I Need Love" and "I'm Bad." He currently stars in "NCIS: Los Angeles."

The suspect suffered minor injuries and is being charged with burglary, officials said. No additional details were immediately available.
