L.A. Now Live: Discuss the Rodney King coroner's report

The Times' Inland Empire Bureau Chief Phil Willon will join L.A. Now Live to discuss the final coroner's report into the accidental death of Rodney King, who drowned in the pool of his Rialto home in June.

The chat, scheduled at 9 a.m., will be hosted by The Times' Rebecca Trounson.

King's struggles with addiction thrust him into public consciousness in 1991, as a drunk driver bludgeoned by Los Angeles police. In June, substance abuse contributed to his death, medical examiners have concluded.

A San Bernardino County coroner's report released Thursday said that King was in a "state of drug and alcohol-induced delirium" before either falling or jumping into his pool.

Along with alcohol, toxicology tests found traces of marijuana, PCP and cocaine in his system.
