Man sought in sex assault at Fullerton apartment


Fullerton police Thursday were seeking the public's help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted a 19-year-old woman. Suspect in Fullerton sexual assault.

The woman was attacked as she walked in a stairwell of an apartment building near Malden and Wilshire avenues.

"The victim screamed and was able to use her cellphone to strike the suspect," the Fullerton Police Department said in a statement

The woman fled and reported the Aug. 8 attack to authorities. 

The attacker is described as Latino, with dark skin, black hair and brown eyes, police said. He is between 30 and 49 years old and was wearing a red baseball cap with a logo.
