Earthquake: 3.3 quake strikes near Inyokern

A shallow magnitude 3.3 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening 14 miles from Inyokern , according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 6:34 p.m. at a depth of 4.3 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was 16 miles from Ridgecrest, 17 miles from Coso Junction and 126 miles from Los Angeles Civic Center.

In the last 10 days, there have been four earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
