Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Santa Paula
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Saturday morning five miles from Santa Paula, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:45 a.m. Pacific time at a depth of 8.1 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was nine miles from Ojai, 10 miles from Meiners Oaks, 13 miles from Ventura and 55 miles from Los Angeles Civic Center.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
