Earthquake: 3.0 quake strikes near Running Springs
A shallow magnitude 3.0 earthquake was reported Monday evening four miles from Running Springs , according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 7:40 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0.6 of a mile.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was seven miles from Lake Arrowhead , nine miles from town of Big Bear Lake , 15 miles from San Bernardino and 68 miles from the Los Angeles Civic Center.
In the past 10 days, there has been one earthquake magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
