Deputies seize meth, 9mm handgun and thousands of dollars in cash
Deputies serving a search warrant in Lancaster seized 3 pounds of methamphetamine, thousands of dollars in cash and a loaded semiautomatic handgun, authorities said Thursday.
The warrant was obtained after the deputies made a traffic stop last week and discovered that a passenger in the vehicle had Vicodin pills and a credit-card "skimming" device, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Inside the apartment, deputies found a hidden compartment in the floor that had bags filled with methamphetamine. The drug was found in other locations in the dwelling, along with $7,000 in cash and the high-powered 9mm handgun.
The Sheriff's Department estimated the value of the methamphetamine to be $30,000.
Deputies arrested Christopher Delgado, 37, and Angie Zaldavar, 34, on suspicion of narcotics violations.
