Brush fire in La Crescenta closes 210 Freeway lanes

Firefighters battle a blaze on the Foothill (210) Freeway on Tuesday.

Los Angeles County and Glendale firefighters are battling a blaze on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway, east of Pennsylvania Avenue, officials said.

Few details were available as firefighters continued to  battle the blaze, which was reported about 12:55 p.m., said Inspector Brian Riley of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Witnesses reported smoke and grass on fire, he added.

California Highway Patrol officers shut down two right lanes of the freeway and the Pennsylvania off ramp.
