Authorities investigating fatal shooting in South Gate
Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators were sent to the city of South Gate shortly after midnight Saturday after the shooting death of a man, authorities said.
Deputy Guillermina Saldana said the victim, whose identity has yet to be released, was reported mortally wounded in the 6100 block of Nevada Avenue about 12:40 a.m. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead, she said.
Saldana said she did not have information about the circumstances of the shooting, including the motive or possible suspect information.
