4 injured in Metrolink train-truck collision in Camarillo

Metrolink train collides with big rig in CamarilloCommuters taking Metrolink's Ventura County line may face delays after a collision between a train and semi-truck spilled diesel fuel and injured four people, officials said Friday.

The 5:55 a.m. accident occurred two miles west of the Camarillo station near Noel Street. Two people from the truck and two Metrolink passengers were injured, officials said.

"Right now, we don't know exactly what happened," said Sherita Coffelt, a spokeswoman for Metrolink. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the matter.

Metrolink is using buses to transport riders on the line, officials said.
