Car fire doused on 110 freeway; all lanes to reopen

A car fire, which closed all lanes on the northbound 110 Freeway on Thursday afternoon, has been contained, officials said.

The fire was reported at 2:20 p.m., near the 3rd Street exit in downtown Los Angeles, said a California Highway Patrol spokesman. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and briefly blocked all northbound lanes, which will reopen momentarily.

No additional details were available.
