Thieves use stolen tow truck to steal ATM from San Diego bank

July 18, 2012 | 11:46 am

San Diego police are searching for three masked men who used a stolen tow truck to remove an ATM from outside a bank and later left the truck and the ATM at a golf course, police said.

As shown on a security camera, three men ripped the ATM from outside a Chase Bank in the Clairemont Mesa area about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday and then sped away in the truck and a second vehicle.

The tow truck and ATM were found two hours later at the Tecolote Golf Course. The money was gone, police said.
