Man arrested, accused of hosting drinking party for teens

A 25-year-old San Diego County man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of hosting a drinking party for teenagers at which admission was charged.

Eduardo Hidalgo was arrested at about 3:30 a.m. at the San Marcos, Calif., warehouse of the plumbing supply company where he works. Hidalgo used his key to the warehouse without his employer's permission, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Found at the warehouse were three beer kegs, bottles of beer and various kinds of liquor, equipment for the game beer pong and $886 thought to be the proceeds from the event, according to the Sheriff's Department.

Hidalgo was booked into the Vista jail on suspicion of violating the county's social host ordinance, which makes it illegal to host a party where minors are allowed to drink alcohol.
