Stand Down for female veterans set for Friday in Los Angeles

The second annual Stand Down for female veterans is set for Friday at the USC Davidson Conference Center, 3501 S. Figueroa St., Los Angeles.

In partnership with U.S. Vets, the event is sponsored by the California Department of Veterans Affairs. Women veterans can receive free medical, dental, mental health and nutrition services, as well as assistance with housing, employment, legal and financial issues.

The event is set for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For additional information, go here or call the Sepulveda Vet Center, (818) 892-9227.

Service providers include CalVet, USC School of Dentistry, VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, California Women’s Law Center and Palace Beauty College.
