Santa Ana councilman arrested on sex charges
A Santa Ana City councilman was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of 12 felonies, including sexual battery, stalking and six felony counts of false imprisonment.
Carlos Bustamante, a former executive manager with Orange County Public Works, resigned from the government post in October amid allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied.
The Orange County district attorney's office said in a statement that no further information will be released until a news conference scheduled for Tuesday morning.
