Reader photos: Southern California Moments, Day 199

Climbing

Climbing: Alex Hime took this shot just before plunging down the West Coaster at the Santa Monica Pier. He used a Leica M7 camera, a Zeiss Sonnar 50 lens, and Portra 400 film.

"I've lived in L.A. most of my life and decided to take my niece to the pier on July 3. Needless to say it was busy — perhaps the busiest I'd ever seen the Santa Monica beach near the pier," Hime said.
