Person killed by train in San Fernando Valley

A person was killed by a train in the area, officials said.
A person was struck and killed Tuesday night by a passenger train in the San Fernando Valley, officials said.

The incident was reported about 8:30 p.m. near the 7400 block of North Coldwater Canyon Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The age and gender of the victim were not immediately known.

No other details were immediately available.
