Pedestrian fatally struck by car in West Los Angeles
Police say a 66-year-old man was struck and killed by a car as he was walking along a West Los Angeles street.
The man was hit just before 9:40 p.m. Tuesday near the 1800 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The driver stopped to help the man, who was taken to a hospital, where he died of his injuries, Herrera said.
The driver was not arrested because there was "no crime involved," she said.
