Motorist killed in Anaheim after car veers off 5 Freeway onramp
A motorist was killed Saturday evening when her car veered off a 5 Freeway onramp in Anaheim and landed on a city street, authorities said.
The vehicle, which was traveling at a speed greater than 65 miles per hour, veered off the Anaheim Way northbound onramp about 6:20 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported. The car went airborne, crossing over Katella Avenue before crashing near Anaheim Way.
The woman, who was the only person in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said. Her name has not been released by authorities pending notification of next of kin.
