Man shot to death in Compton

Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a man in Compton on Friday. 

The shooting was reported about 4:10 p.m. in the 100 block of East Rosecrans Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No other details were immediately available.
