Lakers forward Matt Barnes arrested in Manhattan Beach
Lakers forward Matt Barnes was arrested in Manhattan Beach on suspicion of resisting arrest and having an outstanding traffic warrant, according to media reports.
Barnes had an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant and was spotted by officers around 8:30 p.m. Monday when he allegedly had a confrontation with the officers, according to media reports. He was taken into custody and being held in the Manhattan Beach Police Department jail.
Barnes, who averaged 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in the regular season, is a free agent and is not expected to return to the Lakers.
