10 Freeway near Mid-City snarled because of multi-vehicle accident

July 11, 2012 |  6:08 am

Only one lane of the eastbound 10 Freeway was open near Crenshaw Boulevard in the Mid-City area on Wednesday morning after a multiple-vehicle accident snarled the morning commute.

At least three vehicles — including one that overturned — were involved in the collision, which was reported about 5:11 a.m., said Officer Ed Jacobs from California Highway Patrol. At least two people were taken to area hospitals with unknown injuries, but Jacobs said there were no known fatalities.

Only the right lane of the freeway was clear about 6 a.m. It was unclear when the remaining three lanes would reopen.
