Dad left son in car while he drank in bar, authorities say

A 46-year-old man remains in San Diego County jail after being arrested on suspicion of leaving his 11-year-old son  in a car outside a bar for several hours.

Jose Ramon Hernandez was arrested on charges of willful cruelty to a child, narcotics possession and commiting immoral acts involving a child. He is also on an immigration-hold as a suspected undocumented immigrant.

Hernandez was arrested Monday about midnight at a bar in the Mid-City neighborhood. Witnesses said the 11-year-old had been sitting in a car outside the bar for several hours.
